The Road Not Taken

少年時唸理科,最叻生物科。最怕西史或叫世界史,因為個Miss好鬼惡,以致我無心機。大學時期唸酒店管理,凡此種種,表示我並沒有太多太厚的文學根底。不要緊,但願可以多點學習。

友人分享一首著名的詩篇 ~ THE ROAD NOT TAKEN by Robert Frost
"...... I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference." (全詩記載於下)

我於網誌曾談及誰敢做快樂老實人,誰敢冒說錯話的險,誰敢嘗試沒有人試過的點子,誰敢純綷以興趣去選科,甚至簡單如一所未到過的饗廳,敢於嘗試嗎?

當人生走在一條顛簸的路上時,很容易會懷疑自己選了一條難走的路,甚至是選錯路。所有的選擇都是對的。容易的路是淡而無味的路。依然屹立的你,不正是在顛簸路上才顯現出來嗎?

The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
